About Grade Hunter

Grade Hunter is a Pokémon card grading analytics platform. It answers one question with market data instead of opinion: is this card worth submitting for grading right now?

What Grade Hunter does

For every tracked card, Grade Hunter compares the current raw market price with recent PSA 9 and PSA 10 sale levels, subtracts a flat USD $75 all-in grading cost, and reports the estimated profit, the return on that outlay, and how reliable the underlying data is. The same numbers power the site, the public read-only API and the AI assistant access tools, so a card never reads differently in two places.

Who it is for

  • Collectors deciding what to submit

You have a stack of raw cards and a limited grading budget. Grade Hunter ranks them by estimated profit after the submission cost, so the budget goes to the cards that justify it.

  • Investors sourcing raw singles

You buy raw cards to grade and resell. The raw vs PSA 9 vs PSA 10 spread, trend direction and ease-of-sale signals are the inputs that decide whether a purchase makes sense.

  • Sellers pricing graded inventory

You already hold slabs and need current graded sale levels rather than list prices, plus how steady those levels have been.

How the numbers are produced

  1. Raw prices come from public marketplace data (TCGPlayer market pricing).
  2. Graded levels come from recent public eBay sold listings for PSA 9 and PSA 10 copies.
  3. A flat USD $75 all-in grading cost is subtracted site-wide, so cards stay comparable.
  4. Trend, ease-of-sale, price-steadiness and data-quality signals are scored into one GradeHunter Score.
  5. Where sales are sparse, the data-quality signal drops rather than the estimate being presented as certain.

The exact formulas and windows are published in the methodology.

Limits you should know

Grade Hunter estimates market outcomes; it does not grade cards. Whether a card returns a PSA 10 depends on its physical condition and the grading company's judgement. Prices move, sold-listing samples can be thin, and past sale levels do not guarantee future ones. Nothing on the site is financial advice, and Grade Hunter is not affiliated with PSA, CGC, BGS, Nintendo or The Pokémon Company.
